At Jungle Friends, interns get the opportunity to visit other animal sanctuaries in the area. Interns Mer and Becky went to Tampa to see Big Cat Rescue. After a warm welcome, they got a tour and learned all about their fantastic creatures. They even got to observe when a senior caregiver performed enrichment activities with several of the cats. We thank Big Cat Rescue for their hospitality and we are looking forward to seeing Big Cat interns visit Jungle Friends!
Big Cat Rescue is such an amazing sanctuary. It is like the Jungle Friends for big cats! I love the relationship that JF and Big Cat have with each other, and wish all sanctuaries would work as well together. They are always willing to help the other by sending volunteers, sharing ideas, or donating supplies that the other one might have better use for. BIG THANKS to BIG CAT for the continued love and support, and hard work they do!!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad we were able to have you guys out to Big Cat Rescue. It is always great to see how other sanctuaries do things as well. You are right it is wonderful to have sanctuaries work together, support each other, and learn from each other. Afterall we are all fighting the same battle for the animals.
